We’re moving into the “production week” for the language podcast from tomorrow, so there’ll be a bit less updates on the Ancient World in the coming days. And then we’ll be back from the Gate of Purgatory and onwards!
We’ve also made seven episodes on the Proust podcast now, aiming for about thirty episodes on “Combray” – the first part after the opening “Overture”. And yesterday it all connected to Dante’s times with long descriptions of Giotto and his frescos of Virtues and Vices in Cappella degli Scrovegni in Padua. And with this, Proust opened the themes of symbolic deep and allegory which resembled the moves that Dante is doing gradually in the Comedy as well.
